The story of Alberami started with the urgent need to address the environmental and agricultural crisis in Salento, Italy.
In 2013, the region was severely affected by the Xylella Fastidiosa bacterium, devastating olive groves, including ancient ones, leading to a significant economic and environmental crisis.
In response, Alberami was founded in April 2021, aiming to promote eco-friendly and regenerative agricultural practices. The core idea was to establish a system based on carbon credits, generated through sustainable and environmentally respectful methods. Since then, Alberami’s impact has been remarkable: our regenerative agriculture model has gained national traction, expanding throughout the Italian peninsula.
We are now poised to export this model across the Mediterranean basin, heralding a new era in environmental management and regenerative agriculture.
What began as a solution to a local crisis has evolved into a movement transcending geographical boundaries, showcasing the effectiveness and resilience of sustainable and innovative approaches in agriculture.
